About Us

The Sword of Truth Outreach Ministries is a vibrant, growing ministry located in Bennettsville, SC.  We believe that the reach of the pulpit goes well beyond the four walls of the church.  In Luke 19, Jesus challenges us to make full use of the talents God has given us.  It’s our responsibility to do more than preach.  We are also called to occupy, or take up space in the areas of finance, education, media, business, arts/entertainment and government.  Because of this burden to impact all areas of human existence, we have implemented numerous outreach and community initiatives to address the needs of our global community. 

The Sword of Truth (SOT) was established in 2007 by Pastor Robert Christopher Brown (he would later become “Bishop” Brown) and his wife, (Lady) Trena Brown.  At its start, the ministry was concerned with the restoration and equipping of those in need, both spiritually and financially.  A nonprofit extension, O2PS (Operation Outreach Processed Systems) was established in 2009 to provide programs that answered those needs.  As awareness of the need to provide not just resources, but training and education opportunities, O2PS was re-branded as The W.I.N. (Walking Into Newness) Agency in 2013.  The mission of the W.I.N. Agency is to be a multifaceted, problem solving organization equips members of our community with the tools to build sustainable, healthy lives. 

In 2016, SOT Enterprises, a 503c, was established to provide a legal structure for several for-profit ventures designed to provide not only jobs, but a revenue stream to sustain our numerous outreach programs.
