Bishop R. Christopher Brown, III

Bishop Robert Christopher Brown, III is the son of the late Robert Brown Jr, and Evangelist Sherlene Brown. Born in Darlington, SC, he graduated from Mayo High School. He received his Bachelors of Science degree in Elementary Education in 1999 from Morris College. In 2006, he earned his Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from Grand Canyon University. Bishop Brown has worked as a middle school teacher, football and basketball coach, and principal. 

In 1995, Bishop Brown was licensed as a minister by his spiritual father, Bishop William Young Jr. He faithfully served in many roles including Elder, Youth Pastor, and Assistant Pastor. On May 13, 2007, he founded The Sword of Truth, a vibrant, growing ministry that supports and equips ministry and marketplace leaders.  Bishop Brown was consecrated to the Bishopric on August 21, 2011. He serves as the Presiding Prelate of Kingdom Fellowship of Ministries (KFM), a fellowship of over 20 ministries and businesses.

Bishop Brown is the Chairman of the W.I.N. Agency, the non-profit appendage of The Sword of Truth. Through this outreach vehicle, he has been able to offer summer employment, and feeds on average over 3,000 children annually during summer and afterschool programs.

Bishop Brown is the President and CEO of R.C. Brown Enterprises, LLC, a leadership and educational consulting company. He also serves as the Vice President of Selling Better Futures, an educational consulting firm. He is the author of five books, Wood Carriers, Strong Hands, Wood Carriers 2.0, Waiting Well, and I Get to Serve.

Bishop Brown is married to the former Trena Townsend and they have a daughter, Zion Trenyce and a son, Robert Christopher Brown IV (CJ).

Lady Trena Brown

Lady Trena (Townsend) Brown is the daughter of Leroy and Nortrell Townsend. Born in Bennettsville, SC, she is a graduate of Marlboro County High School. She received her Bachelors of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Morris College. She received her Masters Degree in Technology, Curriculum, and Instruction from Grand Canyon University. Lady Brown also has a highly Qualified certification in Early Childhood Education. She has been a first grade teacher for over twenty years and currently serves as a Mentor Teacher.

Lady Brown serves alongside Bishop Brown in ministry and oversees the Women of Change (WOC) Ministry at the Sword of Truth.
